by Brennan Robison

Our newest member is Michele Oberst. She was inducted Monday, receiving her pin from sponsor Roy Burnette. Michele is Director of Worldwide Accounts for Hyatt Hotels Corporation.

Raised in Louisville, Kentucky, she lived there until 14 years ago. Michele is the oldest of five children. Her father and brother are members of the Rotary Club of Louisville. Her father is a past president and her brother is on the Membership Committee. Michele has worked for Hyatt Hotel Corporation as the Director, Worldwide Accounts. Prior to that, she was the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Grand Hyatt Buckhead. In March, she will have been with the company for 17 years.

Michele moved several times with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and have enjoyed living in Chicago, Dallas, Charlotte and now Atlanta. She has lived in Atlanta for the last six years and says she really enjoys Atlanta and the people here.

Michele's hobbies include traveling, reading, playing golf, skiing, cooking and entertaining and visiting her family.

Although she is from Louisville, I went to college at University of Kentucky, BUT she is still a huge U of L Cardinal fan. She enjoys college and professional sports and is looking forward to attending a Georgia Tech and Georgia game some time this year.

Michele is a member of the High Museum and Georgia Aquarium. Professionally, she is a member of Meeting Planners International, American Society of Association Executives and Professional Convention Meetings Association. She has volunteered at Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity.

As a new member, Michele now enters the "Red Badge" program, so she will be greeting you each Monday outside Anthony's.

Please welcome Michele.
