Sam Massell named honorary chair of 2010 Foundation Ball

by Shannon Price

On Saturday, February 20, 2010, more than 250 Rotarians and fellow Atlantans will gather at 103 West for a Black Tie evening benefiting the Buckhead Rotary Foundation charitable programs. Last year, the foundation donated more than $100,000 to local and international charities, and this year we hope to reach a new level. For your reference, a fact sheet showing specific charities is attached.

This year, we are very pleased to announce former Atlanta Mayor and Buckhead Coalition President Sam Massell has been named our Honorary Chair. For years, Sam has supported the Buckhead community in many ways including serving on the boards for Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, Atlanta Historical Society, and Atlanta Speech School. He was also recently included in Georgia Trend Magazine's "Most Influential Georgian's Hall of Fame."
