The past six weeks have brought a shake-up in leadership at two major investment houses, and boutique firms are also posturing to acquire talent and clients in a shifting economic landscape.

"It's been an extraordinary past couple of weeks," said Wes French, a principle with French Wolf & Farr Inc. (FWF), an independent wealth advisory that is planning to double its size and move into a new office inside the Pinnacle building in Buckhead.
