Podcast: Georgia Lawmaker Predicts Most Difficult Legislative Session Since Depression

The Georgia State budget in free fall, a transportation crisis, water crisis, and ethics issues - challenges facing the Georgia General Assembly, which begins its session next week.

Representative Ed Lindsey, Republican representing part of Fulton County including Buckhead, predicts the most difficult session since the Great Depression, due to the need for $1.5 billion in additional cuts.

The good news, he says, is the ethics issues surrounding former House Speaker Glenn Richardson, who resigned following allegations of an affair with a lobbyist, are now in the past.
