Georgia Laws of Life Essay Contest Committee

Rotary’s Georgia Laws of Life Essay Contest is a character education and ethical literacy program for high school students. The contest, which changes lives through “the power of the pen,” challenges students to reflect on values such as generosity, courage and compassion.

As a signature program of Rotary clubs in our state, the Georgia Laws of Life Essay Contest has become the largest Laws of Life contest in North America and the second largest in the world. For the 2012-2013 school year, nearly 40,000 Georgia students wrote a Laws of Life essay, and the contest presented awarded more than $17,000 in student and teacher award money.

The contest is a branded Rotary project run by the Georgia Rotary Districts Character Education Program (GRDCEP), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization governed by Rotarians.
